Learn about the customs at the heart of Lao cuisine before creating three much-loved local dishes: orlam (stew), Mekong fish larb (salad) and our signature papaya salad. Our chef will guide you through techniques such as sun drying, bamboo on charcoal and wok frying.
Elephant Sanctuary
Experience a captivating day at Manifa Elephant Sanctuary, starting with an insightful introduction to elephant behavior and communication. Take a boat across the Nam Khan River to meet and feed the elephants, then join them on a jungle walk as they search for food. Enjoy preparing and offering them digestive treats before embarking on a 1km trek along Hoy Kang stream. Conclude your visit with heartfelt farewells and relax on our scenic deck, absorbing the tranquil views.
Tak Bat A Living Tradition
The Tak Bat ceremony, a deeply spiritual daily almsgiving, provides a unique opportunity for devout Buddhists to gain merit by offering monks their sole daily meal. Observe the locals' meticulous preparation for this ritual and join our culinary team to make traditional sticky rice. As the rice cooks, savor Lao coffee by the fireplace and immerse yourself in cultural tales shared by our experts. Then, venture into Luang Prabang for the almsgiving. Following the ceremony, our cultural guides will lead you to Wat Nong temple, where you'll offer breakfast to the monk.
Waterfalls of Laos
Embark on an inspiring 29km journey from Luang Prabang, walking through the jungle to the acclaimed three-tiered Kuang Si Waterfalls (Tat Kuang Si), where you'll be greeted by the serene beauty of cascading waters. Start at dawn to catch the early morning breeze whispering through the hilltop plantations. Explore the nature reserve's trails, swim in the vibrant turquoise pools, and savor a chef-prepared breakfast picnic. Pak Ou Caves
Cruise along the Mekong River and explore the sacred Buddha caves of Pak Ou aboard our luxury Long Boat du Phou Vao. Arrive at a small landing dock where stairs lead you straight up to the caves. A place of worship for thousands of years, the limestone caverns have gradually become home to around 4,000 Buddha statues and idols, filling the natural setting with spirituality.
